Having enough magazines to get you through each game is absolutely essential in airsoft. Nothing is worse than when you run out of ammo…it can really ruin the day. There are a couple of different types of magazine to choose from – you have the high capacity manually winding magazines, which hold a substantial amount of BB’s, but require you to wind-on the mag as you shoot. There’s electric auto-winding magazines which hold a lot of BB’s, and wind on using a dedicated battery and motor. Lastly you have the mid/low cap style of magazines – these are under spring tension, and don’t require winding…the trade off is that they hold less BB’s.
One of the biggest advancements in airsoft magazines in recent times was Lonex’s development of the Flash Magazine. This dispensed with the typical winding wheel normally found on the bottom of hicap mags, instead favouring a revolutionary draw string. All you have to do is pop open the trap door, pull the string all the way down to the bottom about 4-5 times (never more than 10), and then your mag will feed every last BB! Constructed out of high quality metal, and finished beautifully to look as close to the real steel as possible.
This particular one is the M4 version, and holds 360rds. To fill the magazine all you have to do is slide open the trap door on the top of the magazine, pour your BB’s in and then pull on the draw string. No more fiddling with wheels or speed
