As part of the HPA series from Cybergun, this spring powered pistol is more realistic and more accurate than many of the other springers out there. HPA stands for Heavy, Powerful, and Accurate.
As a springer, the gun is manually cocking – you pull back the slide every time you want to fire; this loads a BB and cocks the piston. Modelled after the S&W M&P40, this gun features authentic trademarks officially licensed through Cybergun, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the gun. In other words, it looks exactly as you’d expect it to!
As soon as you pick this piece up you’ll notice that it has a good heft to it, and feels solid. The slide is easy to grip making loading a simple affair. Please note that this gun features a functioning slide lock – if you run out of BB’s, when you pull back the slide it will stay locked back. This is to tell you that it’s time to reload! Simply press the slide release, and it will rock forward back to battery ready to fire.
On the real steel M&P40 the gun has an ambidextrous slide release, and no external safety. For the airsoft spring version, the safety is on the right hand side slide release – if you push it down, it acts as a trigger block. So if you ever have an instance of the trigger not working, check that the safety is off!
