Eye protection is the only prerequisite for playing airsoft – it is absolutely essential and is the only base requirement to participate. No site will allow you to play unless you have some form of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) for your eyes, whereas they will allow you to run around without a gun…although that just wouldn’t be any fun. Good eye protection is the difference between having a good day, or having a very bad day. You can get goggles and glasses in different configurations, in various shapes and sizes and to varying degrees of protection. The most important thing is that you get something that fits your head snugly, offers sufficient protection and that you’re comfortable. Beyond that it’s simply about choosing lens type (solid lens or mesh). Some people prefer mesh eye protection due to the fact it cannot fog/mist up, whereas others prefer the solid lens because there is no visual obstruction and light passes through much easier.
The Swiss Arms Extreme Ops goggles are dual-pane polycarbonate lenses certified ANSI Z87.1 giving you the peace of mind knowing that your eyes are safe! The goggles are secured via an elasticated strap which has a rubber lining for improved grip, and also features a buckle for quick & easy detaching when necessary. In the box the goggles come with a helmet cover, and the lens has a strip of protective plastic which needs to be removed before use.
These goggles are extremely comfortable, and sit beautifully with a lower mesh mask making them one of the most popular forms of eye protection that we stock. With a nice low profile, these offer a much wider field of vision than many other goggles out there.
